About four o'clock I got bored and decided to go to the pub for a while. I read "Dark Flight Down" (yes, I know its technically a children's story, but it is quite good really) and ate ice cream and drank coke. So it was fun.
Then I came home and ate melon. And discovered that my parents had been to Marks & Spencer when they were out and bought me a new shirt for work. Also a pair of black trousers which I am very impressed with, though they are a little "swishy", still they are black and respectable enough for work and...they have pockets. Its almost impossible to find pockets on women's trousers! They also got me a pair of shoes but unfortunately they seem a little tight - though this may be because of the truly enormous, weeping blister on my foot.
However, I have some Very Good News Indeed. I was only able to buy those three-quarter length sleeved shirts for work, and was rather worried because the scars that I have are mostly on my forearm and some of them won't go off to white but stay raised and red. So I was worried that people would comment/be disgusted/think I was a total loony. However no one has given me so much as a funny look, neither the other staff nor the customers, because I cannot prevent my forearms from showing when I am lifting things or giving things to them at the tables, so maybe they really aren't so obvious as I thought they were. So w00t!
