So I went into a stationers to buy some pencil leads (look at my exciting life everyone) and got recognised as a student (so I don't look all aged-like) and promptly given a 10% discount, which was fairly insignificant (about 10p) but quite fun all the same.
Then I decided to go to Virgin Megastore to buy a DVD of Jackie Brown, because I am very fond of that film. I had seen it in HMV and it was £20 so I set to spend the last of my Easter money on it, only to get to the shop and find that it was on special offer and I could get two other CDs or DVDs with it for my £20. So I've bought a CD of the best of Thin Lizzy and that album by The Streets to see what its like. That put me in a good mood for the rest of the day!
Then I had biology, which was rather boring. For some reason the normal lecturer, while in the building, didn't take the class and we got one of the Thursday-group lecturers instead, and we talked about reproduction. Which was neither interesting nor half so giggly as it was when I did it at school. Then we talked about Mendelian genetics which was ok, but I started to get a bit tired. And typically, I couldn't hand in the assignment I worked on last night because the other lecturer has taken two weeks holiday. Sheesh. Still I suppose it gives me time to finish my other assignment, which is an essay on an environmental topic. I think I might do mine on the effects of DDT, as I remember we did that in Geography in secondary school, which should mean there is plenty of understandable information about it around. Or so I hope anyway.
Aside from that I have little news to impart, really. Mum is watching me a little too closely since I let out that I'm back on my meds (or some of them at least) but hopefully she will stop that soon, and stop annoying me.
Incidentally, seeing as I am now downloading a variety of music, if anyone has any recommendations....I'd be rather pleased, as my memory is giving out.
