Well I've been to sign on today, had my interview with a guy in the Jobcentre whom I unexpectedly shook hands with (came over all formal for some reason). Then I had to wait ages to see someone else and I've got to go back tomorrow because I didn't have a passport with me to prove who I am. And the guy I said that I didn't have a passport to thought this was very strange and quizzed me as to WHY I don't have such a thing! I do, of course, but I can't remember where I put it. Still apparently I can use my full birth certificate instead.
So this meant I got up into the West End later than I was intending, but I still had enough time to sit in All Bar One reading for a while and to buy a portable CD player (or do I mean personal?)
Then we had biology. Lecturer does not care that I have not done my assignment (I found my copy of it, it was in my bag, not that that helps as I haven't filled it in), as she is going to Indonesia and won't be back for several weeks. We're learning about the eye, and about DNA and while I understood the eye reasonably, I got somewhat confused by DNA. Though I was interested to learn that one of those guys - Crick or Watson - named his house the golden helix and has his staircase modelled on the double helix.
And as for now I am sitting around looking at new layouts, and trying to decide what I want. Something with a bit of colour, I think, and a picture. Although I am truly fond of this one.
Oh and that reminds me: I once found a layout site which offered a design based on the old Penguin books, the ones with the orange and white covers. They also had one which looked like The Guardian. Anyone know this site?
