And I...still think Virginia Woolf was a bit of a tit, but am forcing myself to read Orlando regardless.
I am also embarking on the murky waters of fanfic writing once again, because I want to get an ego-stroking. Here is a tip, gratis and for nothing: write very unusual pairings, because the fans of those pairings are so desperate for stories that they will applaud you even if you are the worst writer ever. And they are all pairings, btw, because fanfic for some reason has a strange fondness for romance. Now I see why Mills & Boon are so popular.
I need to ring Love & Tate, because it is truly a little early for my employment agency to be giving up on me (I think I have a figurative Bad Smell).
And that is about it, and now I must go and dance around like a mad thing while listening to country music, because that now constitutes my sole exercise.

The intellectual is always showing off,
the lover is always getting lost.
The intellectual runs away.
afraid of drowning;
the whole business of love
is to drown in the sea.
Intellectuals plan their repose;
lovers are ashamed to rest.
The lover is always alone.
even surrounded by people;
like water and oil, he remains apart.
The man who goes to the trouble
of giving advice to a lover
gets nothing. He's mocked by passion.
Love is like musk. It attracts attention.
Love is a tree, and the lovers are its shade.
