I meant to update last week, but could not persuade myself to go on the internet. I spent the entire week reading, and I've managed to re-read about 90% of my books down here, so when and if I eventually go up north, I shall swap them over.
Mum's still up there, its just been me and dad for this week. Which is quite good as he always gives me loads of money to buy dinner with - but wanted just salads all week, which was good. And I let him watch comedy videos (which i like myself but which mum won't let us watch) and he got to watch the squeaky lady on CSI: Miami so he's quite happy. Now he's gone off to Moscow and then is going up to see mum, and I might be joining them next week ish.
I have an interview on Thursday, with the Church Times, for a receptionists job. Now I might or might not get this one, depending on how posh their offices are. You see receptionists are generally rather glamourous, pretty, slim women as they're the first people anyone sees. I know my dad's company only employs attractive women on their reception desk so if they're like that, I won't get the job. However, if they're a bit provincial and their only visitors are vicars, I might be in with a chance.
I should really have gone to see how long it will take me to get to Islington today after I signed on, but it was just so hot that I couldn't be bothered. I just got out some more library books, bought some ice cream and came home. I hate the heat, and I hate feeling sweat running down my face, most unpleasant. I don't cope well with heat, or with cold in fact, I think I'm just badly put together, really.
Saw the doctor last week, nothing terribly exciting happening there. I had to have my head scanned again (did I mention that before?) which wasn't exactly exciting but not painful either. The technician said that she didn't notice anything wrong with the last scan, but it had to be done again after their computer crash as a doctor has to sign it off. But considering she spends her whole day just interpreting that sort of data, I would actually trust the technician's judgement over the doctors'. I have a spot over my eye, which is apparently a molluscum (ooh, fancy), in plain language, a wart. Lovely. Now I suppose I'm going to have to find a toad to get rid of it.
Or maybe not. I don't like toads. Just wait for it to go away by itself.
Aside from that my life has been as boring as ever it is. The heat is annoying, the Friendly Beetles are swarming over the house and have to be removed with an envelope, and a spider decided to pop in to say hello to me while I was trying to go to sleep. I'm hoping to get up north on Monday, or even on Friday, where it will at least be a little cooler. If I am very lucky I might be able to take a trip up to Edinburgh to see all my friends up there. Which would be excellent as I haven't seen or spoken to them in an age - and I haven't spoken to neil or drew in about a year now, which I regret. but I never seem to remember to ring them, my memory is absolutely awful now.
Anyway, thats about it, I've actually gone on for rather longer than I intended. Now I have to go search the net for stuff about domestic abuse in the book of Hosea (fun, what?)...
