Fluff! Being Offensive! Not exciting enough for !!!

2004-07-25 at 12:53 a.m.

Argh, I have a terrible head.

Anyway, sorry for not getting on here in a while. I forget when I last updated. Gah, no memory-me.

Anyway, I have been doing nothing exciting. I found a load of CDs I burned years ago, and discovered some good songs, and a frankly disturbing number of copies of The Vatican Rag.

Parents have been away since Wednesday, so I have been doing nothing in particular since then. Dad comes back tomorrow and mum doesn't know when she's coming back, as it is cooler up in the north and better for her asthma. I was planning to join them, only they made me ring the daughter of some of their friends who did some temping for 18 months before she got a job, and she recommended some places for me, so now I have to go work as a temp secretary even though I do not particularly want to anymore and I have to stay in London. I suppose I'll do it, if only to get more than £40 a week which is really starting to annoy me now. In any case, if I get a temp job then I can meander with that and then go and do a course come September.

Only I can't decide: law or IT? They both have their good points (deja vu, I've said this before, but anyway...), people (when they're not telling me to go into the Church), tell me to go into law as I am argumentative (lol). I like IT, webpages and the like, so that would be a good job. On the downside, I am not that good at IT, I can create stuff that looks good, but not that looks professional/good enough to get a job with, because I seem to lack artistic sensibility. The bad side for law is that it would strand me in England until I got enough money/time to study for Scottish law, and I really do still want to go and live in Scotland.

So, I'll have to decide one of these days.

In other news: well there isn't any news really. I got some videos out on rent today, Bruce Almighty and In & Out. The first was OK though I'm not sure how much I like Jim Carrey (I saw him once, in London). In and Out is a film I quite like, though definitely on the fluffy side. I had forgotten how good-looking Kevin Kline is, and how disturbingly young he looks. Hmmm.

I was meaning to do some writing this week, seeing as I had free time and the house to myself, but alas it has not happened and the most I have been doing is writting offensive sarcasm about the Old Testament. Under another name, natch.

So, there you go.
