Racing

Funny, really, I know people who would give their right arm for a VIP ticket to the day (especially with all the freebies, last time I came home with Ferrari merchandise), but I'm not interested. Not going, actually. I'll go to Ascot, because I quite like the horse racing, but I've never seen the interest in Formula 1. You don't even get to see the cars, you hear a noise, blink and they're gone. You get a better view on the TV than being there in person. And I don't find it exciting to go into the pits and see the cars or the drivers. So not much point going. Anyway they always stuff you full of food till you can hardly walk.

But I thought it was at least an interesting thing to put here! My parents are going to go, apparently a client has insisted on taking his wife so someone else has to take a wife along - and dad volunteered.

I went to the Grand Prix when I was little, once. Went to some other car racing thing once too, because I remember giving the champagne to the winner. Never all that interested, but its amusing to make people turn green with envy about it!

Ah well, that was about the most interesting event of the day. I slept most of the time because that interview I had yesterday meant I had to get up at 7am, which is a most unusual hour for me. I was exhausted after. The interview went ok, but I got very nervous all of a sudden which may mean I gave a bad impression. Though I scored a point, I think, when they asked me the names of my lecturers and the one I said was the best turned out to be someone they publish! Dunno whether I'll get it though, but they all seemed nice people. They were hoping to get back to me today but they haven't yet. Just got to wait and see I suppose.
