Interviews, but no job

2004-07-01 at 11:17 p.m.

I can't remember when I last updated, because I never seem to get on when the servers are actually working.

But never mind.

Not much going on here. I had that interview with the university, which was ok. Not brilliant, its evidently not the greatest university (bit of snobbishness coming in here) and it is a long way away, but then, I've been unemployed too long now, and I need to take whatever I'm offered. If I'm offered it, that is. A lot of other graduates are unemployed and looking for work, and I have to compete against them. I didn't get the job with the Methodists, either. I have an interview with the publishers coming up though so hopefully that one will go well, as I really fancy that job. If all else fails, dad is asking our MP to see if he can get me a job, though its not likely to be paid, I expect, and Party HQ don't seem interested, which is weird considering that they were chronically understaffed the last time I worked for them.

Woke up this morning after a particularly strange series of dreams, the first having the Queen Mother teach me how to make soup (eh?) and the second involving some sort of ethnic cleansing on a far-off planet as an experiment...which could make a decent story if I could be bothered writing one anyway.

Tomorrow I think I might take a little trip, go up to town and browse through bookshops. Though I'm running through my money too quickly - more than two weeks' worth already gone, I have only £10 in the world and that is supposed to last me till next Thursday. I'll have to get some money of my parents, assuming they'll give me some that is.

Must get in touch with my friends again, I'm losing contact with all of them due to having no money on my phone and being too lazy to actually phone anyone. Not keen on talking on the phone, you see. But I don't want to lose contact with them. Maybe I'll send an email.

Oh well, till next time.
