The Boredom of Substandard Days

Well yesterday was the Day of Signing On. Very exciting, I think not. Bumped into my next-door neighbour Sheila (she of the, "I'm black you know" comment) on the way. She was heading to the hospital for a blood test so we got the bus together. She's nice, if a bit dippy, and it was nice to have someone to talk to on the way there.

Signing on was boring as usual, though I had the chance to find out why no money had appeared in my account from them. Turns out there was a computer error (!!!) but they've fixed it and I should be getting £160 in the bank tomorrow so that is definitely a good thing. Especially as all the borrowing of money I have done means I have £80 to fritter! Woo-hoo!

Spend the rest of that day sitting in cafes and reading new library books, and writing that story I posted yesterday. Today I spent reading a life of Noel Streatfield which was interesting even though I never could stand the woman. Anyway it only cost me 10p from the library sale.

Tomorrow will be marginally more interesting though. At 1:30pm I have to go get my head looked at Barts, not sure what that will involve but I'd better go wash my hair shortly. Then I have my course and the chance to sit and look around in Borders...dribble dribble.

This book obsession is starting to worry me. But I am not telling anyone outside this anonymous spot that, because I enjoy it. Probably substitutes for sex in my sadly deprived life anyway.

Thats about it, I think. Though I may have another story sometime or other. By the way - I know the image on the template isn't working at the moment, apparently lycos is down for a while. I wish I wish I wish I had gold or other hosting! Oh well, if wishes were horses then beggars would ride...
