Went clothes shopping today, and I still don't understand why Evans has this strange obsession with three-quarter length sleeves. Why would I want those? I either want short or long sleeves, not someway in between that you're always either pulling down or pushing up to stop it getting in your way!
Hm, anyway, I am now the proud possessor of new jeans, two t-shirts and a pair of sunglasses.
There was a big thunderstorm. Big boomy thunder and flashes of lightning, great. I love thunderstorms, mostly because I hate the horrible feeling I get in my head just before a thunderstorm, and also because, well, they're nature's theatre. I missed the worst of the rain though as I was on the bus, though I got to watch people scuttling and getting splashed by the bus as we were being driven by a mad speed-freak (difficult to manage, that, in London).
Bought a couple of books too (there's a surprise), but nothing terribly exciting. My dad is off to Houston soon for that oil conference they have, so I'm making a list of things for him to get for me "because they're cheaper in the US" (dunno whether they really are but as he always just buys them for me, they are a considerable saving!). So at the moment I have a list of books by someone called Jan Karon for him to buy, two CDs by the Goo Goo Dolls, and an MP3 player (which he promised me last year as my payment for painting the house). Hopefully he'll be able to get them, he doesn't really have a lot of time when he's over there. Just a shame we can't get playstation games because of the weird PAL/whateveritscalled thing.
So....looking forward to next month, I am I am.
