Mum and dad went out and came back with a copy of my favourite picture - van Dyke's Portrait of the Abbe Scaglia, which is hanging in the National Gallery. Sometimes I think I am the only person who likes this picture because I had huge difficulties trying to get a print of it - they even offered to make me an individual one by taking the original off the wall and doing something to it - but I hate to think how much that would have cost. But I kept on going in and asking about it and now they have a print on sale...my doing?
other than that, a boring day. Sat around reading a girly novel about publishing (which I actually quite like, its a hell of a lot better than most of that genre).
London is obviously going to be disgustingly hot this summer, I might see if I can go away back to Northumberland again if I haven't got a job, try to escape the heat. Maybe mum and dad will let me anyway, hope so.
