Update

Shirley left to go back to Edinburgh today. We had a good time, though we didn't do the things we were going to - no trips to Camden, no shopping, no going to pubs half the night, no sloping around Soho...

A bit embarassing really, I'm hardly a wild party thing if when one of my friends comes to stay we end up sitting around the house watching videos...

Though I got to see some good films. All in all, we watched Scary Movie, Scary Movie 2, Naked Gun, Naked Gun 33 1/3, Legally Blonde 2 (another for the wish list, I liked the first one too), Pleasantville (weird), and I forced Shirley to let me rent Jackie Brown because the woman in it is cool.

Actually we still talked through half of those films, and drank a lot of beer. Not that that is a bad thing - only I haven't had any alcohol at all since January (that long!!!!!!!!!)

It was nice to see her again, its boring being by yourself all the time, though most of the time I'm fine.

The weather has broken here so I'm thinking about maybe going up to Northumberland at some point in the next few weeks once I've done that computer course and seen the new psychiatrist. Get away from the heat and the strange smell that London has.
