Reading

I don't understand people who don't read.

That was what I was thinking today, just when I was sitting in the pub with my book.

I always knew some people at school who said they didn't like books, found reading hard, and boring. Well I can make allowances for people who can't read well I suppose but people who choose not to read, I think they're strange.

I love books - they're the closest thing to magic that we have access to. Anything can happen in them, and you can be there in the middle of a battle or whatever, and not be hurt. Safe exploration.

I'd love to be able to write books, to be able to tell stories that people are actually interested in. Stories that take them away from the world for a bit, or change how they view the world.

That'd be great.

But enough of dreams - because frankly my writing is not good enough.

I bought a new computer game today which I'm itching to use - its LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring game, and as I have learnt from the net, its not the movie version which means...it has Tom Bombadil in it!! He was always my favourite character.

Heh, so I'm off to play games....
