I spent the afternoon in the pub reading a not very convincing horror story called Nailed by the Heart. Which was supposed to be about brooding horror and ancient pagan gods - and was just a bit gory instead. The Wicker Man was a lot more scary, on the pagan-gods line anyway.
After that, came home, parents went out for a boozy dinner so naturally I played on the computer until it feels like my arse is taking root to the chair.
I am definitely rather crap at all this though, but never mind, I enjoy it anyway.
Had a phone call from the employment agency, apparently the company that I liked has something in stock so I may be getting another interview and hopefully a job soon. Must ring them tomorrow. Also got a bundle of application forms through including one from a humdinger of a job with the British Library answering user queries. Which would be a good job for me, I'd enjoy it anyway.
Actually I have been thinking about maybe trying to do a postgrad qualification in librarian studies (and thats not what it is called but never mind) and go work in an academic library (NOT the local public one). You *have* to read books as part of the job so you can help people out, and you get time to write and things as well. Definitely my sort of job.
Anyway, more on that later, must find out which are the best places to study it I think and how much it would cost me.
