My dad came back today, he's been in Russia on business. Much to my surprise, he's brought me presents. Not that he doesn't buy me stuff, its just that he's usually really busy on business trips. He got me a cross made out of five Russian icons for my wall (big, it is, too) and a ring with "Jesus, keep me safe" on it in russian. Pretty cool. Definitely makes me look mysterious.
I spent too much money on a pen again. £20 which I don't really have. But it was a nice pen and the lady at the counter fitted a fine nib on it. Now I just need to write a lot with it so it gets used to my handwriting - which for some reason, Parker pens dislike. I think its because I hold it too far up on my forefinger and the ink doesn't like the angle.
I'm going to write to the BBC and see if I can get them to take me as a volunteer. My great idea is to write with some ideas for programmes on religion (which are a bit crap) and ask if they happen to have anything going at the same time.
Either that or try to submit some of my articles for my other diary to a magazine. Trouble is, how many Christian magazines are there? That aren't awful, anyway, or that won't take enormous offence at my personal views? *Sigh* I'll keep looking.
Been downloading a lot of MP3s from Kazaa, so I'm a happy person, with decent music. Getting an MP3 player in May, when the prices have gone down.
